Online customers will get a better online clothes shopping experience using UPcload new technology. The Berlin based company founded by Asaf Moses and Sebastian Schulze is improving the online clothes shopping experience with a new technology that could have applications in diet and fitness programs too.
The unique technology requires the use of a CD and a webcam. Online users need to adorn tight clothes and hold a CD in front of them. The UPcload's technology knows the dimensions of the CD and calculates clothing sizes according to the body dimensions of a person holding the CD. The measurements taken are subsequently passed on automatically to online clothes shopping websites from where users aim to purchase clothes.
The new technology is an outcome of a research carried out by the founders of UPcload. The research proved that most online clothes shopping consumers did not know their body measurements. Users have to complete the UPcload measurement process only once, after which their profile is usable in all online clothes shopping websites that support UPcload's technology.
Currently, half of all online purchased clothes are returned due to size variations. Through the new technology and exact measurements received from fashion partners, Youtailor and North Face, UPcload aims to give the online clothes shopping industry a thrust.
